We are seeking a skilled Jewellery Mounter to join a talented team in London. The ideal candidate will have experience in mounting and setting precious stones and metals, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and quality. This role requires precision, creativity, and a passion for jewellery making, working for one of the ELITE jewellers of the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mounting and Setting: Accurately mount and set various gemstones, diamonds, and other precious stones into jewellery pieces such as rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.
- Metalwork: Work with different types of metals including gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, shaping and assembling components to create finished pieces.
- Design Interpretation: Understand and interpret jewellery designs and technical drawings to produce pieces that meet the specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect and ensure that all mounted pieces meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain and care for all tools and equipment used in the mounting process, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, gemologists, and other team members to achieve the desired outcomes and troubleshoot any issues.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in jewellery mounting and setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using jewellery making tools and equipment, including but not limited to, setting pliers, polishing wheels, and soldering irons.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
- Creativity: Strong artistic skills with the ability to interpret and bring designs to life.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems that may arise during the mounting process.
- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
