Silver Polisher/Plater

We have a vacancy for a polisher/plater with a luxury jewellery company based in London.

Responsibilities

• Perform silver and gold plating on bespoke trophies, awards, and objets.
• Conduct machine polishing of bespoke trophies, awards, and objets to a high standard, including various finishes such as high mirror and sateen.
• Collaborate with colleagues in making, polishing, plating, engraving, and administration.
• Assist in quality control to ensure the highest standards for finished products.
• Contribute new ideas in a dynamic environment and work closely with staff across the company.
• Adhere to Health & Safety protocols in the workshop.

Skills and Experience

• Preferably 5 years of experience or more in the trade.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Strong ability to grasp concepts and solve problems.
• High attention to detail with the ability to maintain precise standards and ensure the highest levels of quality.
• Capability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective time management and task prioritization skills, with commercial awareness.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.
• Proficiency in handling brass, copper, and precious metals.
• Ability to lift heavy and sometimes awkward-shaped pieces for polishing/plating.
