A jewellery brand in the UK, known for their exquisite designs and commitment to craftsmanship. Their collections are sold across the UK through luxury retail partners. The company are passionate about creating unique pieces that resonate with customers and they are now looking for a dynamic Wholesale Brand Manager to join their team.
Job Overview:
The Wholesale Brand Manager will be responsible for managing well established relationships with wholesale clients. This encompasses the management and development of 2 brands which we sell into wholesale, as well as overseeing the e-commerce website selling direct to consumer.
The role is a blend of office-based and field-based work, ensuring you have the opportunity to engage directly with clients and oversee product merchandising and display. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a passion for jewellery, excellent communication skills, and a strong sales acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing wholesale clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Develop strategies to grow sales with current accounts and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on new collections, promotions, and special offers.
- Business Development:
- Identify and target new wholesale opportunities within the UK market.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, focusing on securing new business.
- Work closely with the Sales Director to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
Field-Based Activities:
- Spend two days per week visiting clients on-site, ensuring optimal product placement and presentation.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product merchandising, provide training to retail staff, and ensure brand guidelines are being followed.
- Gather feedback from clients and retail staff to improve product offerings and client satisfaction.
Merchandising and marketing
- Oversee the merchandising and marketing of jewellery products in client stores to ensure they are displayed attractively and effectively.
- Collaborate with clients to create visually appealing displays that enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of merchandising strategies, suggesting improvements where necessary.
Sales Analysis & Reporting: and stock management
- Manage our extensive stock working to make sure the right levels of stock are available in each outlet and staying on top of up turns and down turns of sales on individual lines.
- Working with our production team to provide feedback and develop new collections
- Analyse sales data to track the performance of wholesale accounts and identify trends.
- Prepare regular reports for the Sales Director, outlining account performance, field visit insights, and recommendations for growth.
- Monitor inventory levels with clients to ensure timely reorders and minimize stock-outs.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Develop effective brand messaging and marketing in stores
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and wholesale clients, ensuring seamless communication.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Preferably degree educated.
- Proven experience in a wholesale account management role, preferably within the jewellery or watch industry.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Experience in merchandising, with a keen eye for detail and design.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, balancing office work and field visits.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- A valid UK driving license is required.
