We are seeking a skilled Product Data Manager to join an Elite jewellery brand and take charge of overseeing the product data processes. This role is integral to the company operations, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and functionality of the product database, including information on product details, costs, and pricing. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multiple departments such as Merchandising, Planning, Procurement, Production, and IT in a dynamic and growing business environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Data Management:
- Oversee the accuracy and consistency of product information within the database, including descriptions, SKUs, images, and costs.
- Ensure seamless collaboration with the Merchandising team for product alignment.
- Support ongoing projects to improve product data infrastructure.
Stock Management:
- Monitor the procurement and stocking process, ensuring all details (importation, costs, and rejections) are accurately recorded.
- Validate and manage information for final products post-manufacturing, ensuring all details are correct before uploading into the system.
Production Coordination:
- Manage the end-to-end process for product orders, from single stones to high-end collections, ensuring data accuracy to streamline reporting and analytics.
Pricing and Cost Analysis:
- Maintain and regularly update cost, price, and margin records.
- Oversee market pricing updates and liaise with IT to ensure systems reflect accurate pricing.
Team Leadership:
- Communicate progress, challenges, and team achievements effectively.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members.
- Proactively recommend and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a data-focused role within Pricing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or Operations, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Strong analytical skills with commercial acumen and attention to detail.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Well-organized, team-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
